Sandeep Chawda, Founder & CEO
Sandeep has ~15 years of industry experience in the global software development setups.
Prior to founding Clarice Technologies, Sandeep had been working as Senior Director at Symantec Software India Pvt. Ltd. Here, Sandeep had been leading the Server management group. Under his leadership the Server Management team in Pune grew to 220+ engineers, and took up significant engineering responsibilities for the product family.
As part of leading the group, Sandeep was responsible for engineering deliverables for VERITAS Cluster Server, VERITAS Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC, VERITAS Provisioning manager, VERITAS Configuration manager and VERITAS Application director.
Under Sandeep’s leadership, while the team had significant responsibilities for various modules it had end to end delivery responsibilities for VERITAS Cluster Server on HP, Linux and Windows. It was also responsible for developing the GUIs for all products in the Server management family.
As part of his responsibilities in Symantec, Sandeep was instrumental in setting up strong teams for two emerging products VERITAS Application Director (50 Engineers) and VERITAS Automation Manager (75 engineers).
During his tenure, Sandeep developed an all-rounded, strong and performing organization with diverse skill sets like development, design and architecture, QA, test automation, Doc writing, program management, performance engineering, Usability, Scalability, PM/TPM, Business analytics, etc.
Prior to Symantec/VERITAS, Sandeep was part of the product development group with the software division of TELCO which was later spun off as Tata Technologies. He, was responsible for offshore product and application development for clients in US.
Sandeep has a B.Tech (Honours) in Electronics from Bhilai Institute of technology (1991), followed by MTech from IIT, Delhi (1993) where he was awarded the best incoming PG student award.
Shashank Deshpande, Founder & Chief Information Architect
Shashank has been crafting the customer experience of interactive systems, with a unique combination of business understanding, technical acumen and creative talent for more than 15 years.
Prior to joining Clarice, Shashank managed a multi-location team of 140 usability consultants involved in Product Design, User-Interface Design & Usability evaluation for Human Factors International – world’s largest usability consulting company
Shashank had built User-Centered Design(UCD) function & set up a high performing team at Symantec that has heavily contributed towards usability evolution of its product portfolio. Shashank institutionalized usability as a function in Symantec (then Veritas) and grew it about 25 usability professionals contributing to over 15+ products in data center & security domains.
Shashank moved UCD value proposition from GUI design to Conceptual design to Product design. Shashank has demonstrated key strengths in end-to-end product design & conceptualization based on market insights & design innovation.
Shashank conducts regular UCD workshops for Managers, Practitioners & Students. He has sensitized more than 300 professionals in organizations like Symantec, Yahoo, CMC (now TCS), L&T to name a few. He has also a regular speaker at usability conferences across the country and occasionally teaches at NID, Ahmedabad and IDC-IIT, Mumbai
Shashank has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Design from National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad.
Hemant Joshi, Head - Strategy & Business Development
Hemant is a serial entrepreneur and brings 21+ years of deep experiential domain knowledge of building tech products for companies based in Bay Area (USA), UK and India.
He is a co-founder of nFactorial Software which mentors early stage companies. Before starting nFactorial, he was Vice-President at Symphony Services Inc. He became part of Symphony after his previous company, In-Reality Software, where he was co-founder and Vice President, was acquired in 2004. At Symphony, Hemant was instrumental in building several product teams for companies such as Mimosa, Iron Mountain, NetApps, Avaya, Instantis, etc and building In-Reality/Symphony’s Enterprise Technology Business Unit’s client base to 30 customers and 750 employees in 4 years.
From 1999-2003, he was Sr. Manager at the India subsidiary of VERITAS Software (now Symantec), where he built and managed a 120+ person global team responsible for clustering and replication products. From 1996 to 1999, he worked in Silicon Valley at various companies such as Hybrid Networks, Stratus Computers and VERITAS. Prior to that, he worked in telecom and network management areas, of which 4 years were in the UK.
Hemant has a BE (E& TC) from College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). |
